CactusHeart - Since I've gone once I, luckily, don't have to ever go again... unless I willingly want to. But yea you're right, grown up events are much more my style. But when a friend is working an event and wants support, I try to keep an open mind.

Not to insult, but I can't help but wonder...If "kid-dom" annoys you as much as it does me (which seems to be the case), why would you VOLUNTEER to immerse yourself in all that scream-filled chaotic crap? Did you need to jostle your memory as to why kids bug you in the 1st place? I don't need any of that. I'm reminded every day, particularly when I shop any given grocery or when I go do my laundry *lol*. Not sure where you live, but if you wanted to get in touch with the arts, there are tons of local "grown-up" art/craft fair events, theatre, museums and junk *lol*
